Hi
am having this problem with my customer machine canon ir 2016 that is giving this massage. enter dept ID. please i will be grateful if some one can hep me clear this error that some one most have put it on kw only.

It is not an Error my friend, it is just someone has activate the Department ID Mode.
To erase passwords, go to Service Mode (press sequentially : * - 2 - 8 - * ) then using the arrow keys find CLEAR hit OK then find PWD hit OK.
Press the Stop key to end Service Mode.
The ID mode should be gone.
