    Canon Copier IRC 6870

    hey all....my copier is Canon Color IRC 6870 and my problem is that the LCD screen is blocked and i have changed the screen but the block remained so how could i remove ...thanks

    Two options:

    Remove and clean memory contacts.

    Check numeric keys (stuck)
    Practice makes perfect
    If it ain't broke, don't fix it
    A picture is worth a thousand words
    If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself

      but i removed and changed the whole keyboard and i put a new one and the block remained :S

          problem is not with the keyboard, but with the controller that controls the keyboard funtion. You could have an issues with any of the following:
          RAM
          Boot Rom
          Main Controller
          Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

                  did you swap the counter board and SN board during this process as well?
                  are you certrain that these boards were in working condition?
                  have you double checked the connectors and reseated the boards on the main controller as well. sometimes a tech can be his worst enemy when trying to repair a machine.

                      well yeah i did all of these things...and the printout from laptop or even coying without changing any option on the screen can be done ...all what i cant do is changing the options on the screen

                        well i said thx a lot that i will check the memory but he gave me another choice so i have to see all sides since there is 4 copier machine are blocked suddenly and they were working before

                            i did yesterday what he said and i changed the whole unit sure not now i did all that and the block still till now....i still have only one choice is to clean the memory hope it will be done
