Canon ir c5185 losing laser settings

We have 5185 that loses it's laser settings about every three days. The copier is left on 24/7, options include fax, print and scan. I re-enter the laser settings , perform gradation and copy quality is restored. Any thoughts on what keeps causing this?. Thanks

give us an example of the random laser settings.

Are they much higher or lower than they should be?

pve-ofst setting may start off -12 but changes it's setting to 0 all laser settings change to 0 and i have to re-enter all of them.

only thing i can think of is a dead or dying backup battery, possibly on main controller or laser driver

change your service mode to *49* to eliminate someone messing with it.

Thanks everyone for replys. I set each laser cam at home position first then i entered the values from each lasers label.I also rebuilt another transfer belt assembly and installed it just to eliminate any belt issues since this call is 120 miles away i did not want to chance it. Did adustments on monday i will post results in the next few days. Thanks again.
