additional functions/2 and 8 at same time/ additional funcions/copier/function/clear/dc con/ok. Its not gonna help that problem but thats the procedure. Sounds like an ip address problem.
on the newer mashines, you are able to reset to factory defaults from the user menu. The advantage is, that you will do no possible harm to your mashine in spite of reset the dc-con. I am not sure, if this function is availible on the ir3570 too, but you should give it a try.

On the imageRUNNER Device (see above for supported devices), press the Additional Functions key, then,
select the System Settings button (if assigned, you will need to enter the administrator password to
access this menu); then select Initialize All Data/ Settings.

or buy a new cable or re-trim the old jacks and connect it..
the PING problem is not for the machine.. if ur machine shows an IP Address, then u can ping it from ur computer..
Check the Cables and network connections (Hub/Switch)
Thank u
it's better to check your connection directly to a PC using crossover cable. if the result is NG, it might be trouble with your network board (main board)

To test that the copier is functioning correctly, you can attempt to PING the loopback address 127.0.0.1. If this also generates the 'No Response From Host' message, then there may be a problem with the copier's NIC. You can try the following to troubleshoot the NIC:
- Reboot the copier.
- Re-seat the RJ45 of the network cable.
- Try another network cable.
- Re-seat the NIC in the copier.
- Try clearing the MMI in Service Mode on the copier. Reboot and reconfigure the copier.
- Try formatting the HD and reinstalling system software on the copier. Buyer Beware ----------------
NOTE: PC's may have firewalls running that block ping requests.
Verify the PC you are attempting to ping will reply to a ping from another PC on the network.
