Minimizing Early failure of the Thrust Retainer Rings and/or the Bushings in the Upper Fixing Assembly

When the quantity of the Grease is insufficient or the Grease is applied in an inappropriate way, the friction
between the Upper Fixing Roller and the Bushings may generate stress in a direction to push the
    Thrust Retainer Rings outward.
If this should occur, the Thrust Retainer Rings may come off from the Upper Fixing Roller or break.

Apply approximately 230mg of the Grease
OK....so i have to carry a tare balance in car stock in future

I have developed another solution: i cut the ratining rings a little and bent the ends inwards, so that they fit into the little holes of the fusing roller. Never had a Ring come off after that.

      BRILLIANT FIX
I have just started to run into this regularly, and I am wracking by brain trying to find a fix.
I wondered why they did not re-design that ring instead of sending that flimsy spacer as a mod.

It is not possible to get the roller alone anymore
It has been replaced with a kit containing roller bushings clip and spacer.
