iR 5880c error

Hello,

Sometime when device powering up I received error E00014-001. After restart device working maybe 30min or 3h then stop with same error. Im replace fixing motor asm but error is still exist. Some sugestion pls... Tnx

Did you reset error in service mode? Also inspect fixing spacer if rotate while the fixing roller is rotating,the retaining ring becomes detached due to frictional resistance with the fixing spacer, and the fixing roller comes off,leading to noise and E014.

Check the shape of the spacer on the rear side of the fixing roller. If the spacer has no rib, replace it with a new one having a rib.
Note: When the fixing roller is replaced with a new one or detached for service work, check the shape of the spacer. If it does not have the rib, replace it with a new one.
- E014-0001 can be displayed when a lock state is not identified for 1 sec or more after motor start-up.

Error can also occur if any of the gears in the Fixing Drive Assembly are worm or damaged. If any of the gears are worn or damaged, they should be replaced.


A poor connection at J761 can cause intermittent E014 error codes. J761 provides 24V for the fixing drive motor M4. Check for a connection problem by moving the harness while copying to see if the machine codes out. Wiring harness FM2-0991-000 will have the necessary connectors and wires to repair J761.

It's a damaged gear usually.
