    E0007-0001 in IR3100

    Hi all
I have a problem in canon IR3100 with error code E0007-0001,
I searched about this code in the trouble shooting and i didn't found it, before this error it was shows another error E0020-3a8,
I cleaned the sensor but it always shows E0007-0001,
so anybody can help about this problem

    regards

U must mean E070 (ITB HP detection error) on this model iRC3100 !!!
Clean the HP detection seal, Clean/Replace the HP sensor--

Did u inspect Intermediate Transfer Belt condition ?
Ensure the sensor is not contaminated or the patch dirty due to soiling-check if white patches on the transfer belt are soiled. -
If everything looks clean you should replace the Roller Static Charge Plates --parts can become contaminated and no longer provide the necessary grounding path.

When was the last time u checked or replaced the Transfer Cleaning Assembly ?

Cheat the right side door assembly and inspect the belt rotation !!!

    E020=XX=03:is for CYAN

03A8=In ATR control, the detected T/D ratio is upper than its upper limit (13%) 3 times in succession.

Toner inside the toner cartridge is first sent to the buffer assembly of the developing unit for storage. Then, the movement of the toner feed-screw supplies toner from the toner buffer assembly to the developing chamber in an amount determined as the result of ATR control.

Check on toner leak from toner buffer assembly (retains toner from the toner cassette temporarily) into CYAN developing unit, & or Replace the ATR sensor

    E020's----------
There are several things that can cause E020's; ATR Sensor, Patch Image Read Sensor, weak Developer, DC Controller and Drum Unit.

    Trouble Shooting error code E020-xx10, xx11, xx12, xx90, xx91, xx92, xx93, xxA0, xxA2, xxA8, xxA9.

Some simple trouble shooting can help you isolate the problem.

    1. If possible make 10 color copies to force the ATR sensor to take readings. Then compare the SGNL reading for the color that is generating the error and additional colors in Service Mode; COPIER>DISPLAY>DENS>SGNL-Y/C/M with the Initialization setting in COPIER>ADJUST>DENS>SGNL-Y/C/M.

COPIER>DISPLAY>DENS>SGNL-Y/C/M arethe ATR Sensor readings of the Developer in its present condition and should be within +/- 100 of the Initialization settings.

COPIER>ADJUST>DENS>SGNL-Y/C/M arethe Initialization settings that the copier maintains and are usually between 400 and 650

    2. If the Initialization setting is outside these numbers the Developer Unit will need to be replaced.

When replacing the Developer Unit, make sure to execute:
    - COPIER>FUNCTION>INSTALL>STIR-Y/C/M
    - COPIER>FUNCTION>INSTALL>INIT-Y/C/M
    - COPIER>FUNCTION>INSTALL>SPLY-H-Y/C/M
After Initializing the Developer Units print a P-print and keep with the copier.
    -COPIER>FUNCTION>MISC-P>P-PRINT

    3. If the ATR Sensor reading is over +/-100 of the Initialization setting; the ATR Sensor, Patch Image Read Sensor, Drum Unit and DC Controller are suspect.

4-Check the status of the Drum Unit under --COPIER>DISPLAY>MISC>DRUM-LIFE. The Patch Image Read Sensor looks at a patch of toner that is generated on the drum for each color and determines the amount of toner that is in the patch by the amount of reflected light. If the drum is not creating the patch correctly, the patch reading will be affected. Replace the Drum Unit if it is close to or over 100% of its rated life.

If the Drum Unit is not close to or over its rated life, replace the ATR Sensor and Patch Image Read Sensor. If the error continues replace the DC Controller.

    5. If over toning continues to occur the Toner Supply Clutch (CL7) may be sticking and need to be replaced.

    ATR Sensor Assembly
    Patch Image Read Sensor
    Developer Assembly (Black)
    Developer Assembly (Yellow)
    Developer Assembly (Magenta)
    Developer Assembly (Cyan)
    GPR-13 Drum Unit
    DC Controller PCB Assembly
    Toner Supply Clutch (CL7)

      Dear all,

E0007 doesn't exit for this series ( as it works with a fixing roller not a film). But you can have the E070 which concerns the transfert belt:

      E070 0001
HP of the ITB fails to be detected even after the specific period of time. Abnormality of the HP sensor, deviation of the belt from its position to either edge, or soiling of the seal

      Rachid.

            HI,
About the E-007, I found the rubber edge of the transfer belt separated from the belt , and the rotation of the transfer belt was hard because the rubber drop between the gear of the transfer unit.
I will replace new trasnfer belt and try the machine.

            thanks

of course not fun, it's very bad, there's a finisher, it's very bad machine, but I can't told my customer to replaced new one coz last month I changed new drum, and now if I told him to change the machine, guess what he will tell me, hhhhhh

Don't forget to replace the Transfer Cleaning Unit/Blade when you replace the ITB, also while you are spending the money replace the Cyan Dev Unit.

                    Hi,
I will transfer the cleaning blade, but why replace the cyan dev, unit.

Yes replace the ITM cleaning blade, or unit at the same time, check the waste bottle. No need to replace any dev units!?

Also remember to clean the patch sensor, I do that last after the machine has dowe the auto gradations etc
