    [Error Code] 5180 E00020-0181

I just rebuilt the ITB on this machine,

replaced all of the transfer rollers, tension roller, belt, and transfer cleaning assembly

this is a developer/ drum issue? if i replace the drum/ developer assembly should it correct the problem?

could the cleaning assembly not be properly seated?

Is the error before or after you replaced the ITB parts.

Has the salt sensor been displaced ?

Is the service label cover in place or damaged?

The error manifested after i replaced the ITB components.

I'm not sure where or what the SALT sensor is?

theres a salt sensor above the belt, had a blue handle ,these three sensors gives this error also ,clean it from toner dust it will work im sure if didnt ,change it 2 screws and 2 connectors on the right.

the location of this sensors on the right side of the machine up the bypass

haven't been back to this machine yet, but just now received this information for the customer:

The color appears much more saturated and what is grey on the original is purple on the copy, light blue is dark blue, orange is red, and text is fuzzy/blurry.

          Black and white is fine

Both Copies and Prints are affected.

            xx=01: Y
xx81 Density value is extremely low for the ITB surface reflectivity when the new drum unit was installed. SALT sensor trouble. Dirty ITB.

Also remove cover over ITB> POWER OFF/ON look at ITB belt rotation & patches/ make sure there is no yellow saturation on belt (if so > remove ITB and > remove belt to inspect YELLOW Primary transfer roller>
MAKE SURE IT IS NOT OUT OF POSITION--

Replace the SALT sensor (clean the sensor window). Replace the drum unit (check its connections). Replace the ITB (clean it).

DID U RUN A FULL AUTO-GRADATION AFTER WORKING ON ITB ????

              yup.

and i was very meticulous about putting the ITB back together, all of the transfer rollers are seated correctly.

If this error happened after you had the ITB out sounds like you knocked the SALT sensor out of place.

Like the others have said when you go back clean it & check it's sitting in the correct position.

                      exactly what the problem was.

i cleaned and reset the sensor, ran auto gradation again, fixed up all of the problems.

                      thanks everybody.
