Heyo - we run 4 ir 110 copiers (and a C7000 for color). I'm working on getting one of the 110's up and running. I had everything together, it passed copies, so I hooked up the PSM the rest of the way, put in a new image loop....and the paper tray potentiometers aren't reading right. I tried swapping trays around, installing spares - what happens is that when I go to set them in the service software it reads -122 for the intrack and -128 for the crosstrack, no matter which tray it is. And then the manage menu will let me tell it the tray has tabs, regardless of how the guides are set. I've tried installing new MEC and MSS boards, checked all the cable and harness connections, different paper supply control boards, reloaded software all the way around (even on the ultra 45 that controls it), and still the issue. Has anybody else seen anything like this before? I was inclined to think that something is physically damaged, but the only part I can figure it would be (having swapped around the trays) is the harness that connects them all to the PSCB...but why would it work and then not? =/ Thanks to anybody who has any ideas or input, it's greatly appreciated!

Re: Canon ir110 Paper Tray Issue
So...I (sort of) fixed the paper trays on Lucy (our 4th ir110, after Esther, Jenna, and Mercedes lol). I got into the manual checkout for the crosstrack POT, which a screen displaying the A to D readings for all the trays. All of them read 5. I opened tray 1, and all the readings for the trays suddenly went to normal spec. Close tray 1, it all goes back to 5 again. So, for the moment tray 1 stays open haha Obviously the short is in tray 1 somewhere, either the flat cable in the back or else in the harness to the PSCB I figure, since I had swapped the entire tray out as an earlier troubleshooting step. All the other trays took the settings for the POT without trouble and seem to work fine. I'll post when I figure out where the short was...Comment
