touch screen is not reponding irc 4080

    Hi to all,
Touch screen is not responding anymore,

I have IRC 4080, I have a problem on the touch screen response, the user will not be able to perform any thing on the touch screen correctly,
Is there any adjustment for the touch screen or needs to be changed??

    Thank you in advanced

What happens when you press the RESET button on the control panel, doesn't it reactivate the memory?

                  hi friend canon tech.
i noticed that the touch screen consist from the screen display & the upper glass i think it is the sensor, connected by a flat cable to the pcb. that means it worked as a sensor, & the problem
from the touching this glass. because the screen is lighting and everything clear.
                  do u agree opinion.
                  thanks

Yes the touch panel FK2-0246 sits on top of the LCD screen, they are separate parts (sometimes they do stick together & need parting)

I belive it uses light I believe it uses light to work not pressure yes.

Check for dirt/debris under the sides of the display. If they are stuck between the glass and surrounding cover, they can press the touchcreen at that point and prevent response to pressing anywhere else.

                        Hi guys
This generation of touch screens (Resistive) consist of two thin conductive layers separated by a thin layer of pressurized air, thats why if you make a hole on the touch schreen, even if its a small one it stops responding and the coordinates are given by the different values on the resistivity on each part of the display, on cold coutries like mine we need to warm up the displays first before adjusting them or just the higer resistivity due low temperature already gives a non responsive display, on Canons sometimes cutting the end bit of the flat cable, like one milimeter already solves the matter.
                        Cheers
