    can anyone help with density adjustment on an ir 1530 ie make it darker does it exist as a model outside the uk?is there a service manual?it has a composite board with pots on which i dont want to tweek without knowing what they do besides its bound to be a code somewhere , help please

    IR 1530

    The ir1530 is the3 same as the ir 1630 sold in the USA. Try replacing the drum unit and tour right not to tweek anything, those pots are for factory use only.
    Someone out there has a manual, mine is on paper. Good luck.

      Tryed new drum unit marginly better for a while the copys just about ko if you set it to max dark but the customer has some light originals it been light since new and I've been promising to do something for two years mylatest plan involves a big hammer and insurance claim unless I can find some info!

        In additional functions under common settings check #3 "print exposure" and #6 "toner saver".

          The auto density adjustment is set to its darkest
          Im sure the toner save is off dont remamber the option but i've got to go and see the m/c soon so ill check another cople of hours scratching my head what i need is an ae slope adjust or the old vr106 adjustments on the old canons

            This being a digital machine, it does't have the same adjustment's as the old analog's. You need to adj the ccd and you need the manual for this.

              Thanks mate I know.Its a shame that sticking black insulating tape over the lamp reflector dosen't work to get you out of trouble anymore damn fibre optics your right I need the manual I hope some charitable person has a copy right now i'm of to an irate customer
