Have the luxury of multiple machines at the location. Switched whole tray c assembly and finisher controller. Still there. Switched finisher and the code follows the finisher. When copying or printing to tray c, paper leaves the copier about 3 or 4 inches and stops with this code. Gonna go check the tray tracks next week after reading a post referring to them(machine where i switched finisher isnt setup to print so only using tray b). Same finisher also popped an e500-ff21 a couple times. Replaced tray b motor and so far it hasnt returned.

Look at tray senors. Make sure they are not bent. All so I have had to replace the Finisher board P/n 4g1-1498. Hope this helps. Bill -

Thats the area sensor board. I switched the entire tray assembly which includes the sensor flag and the area sensor board. I read where a guy had the tracks crack which would give the same problem if I switch the tray. Gotta look at that early next week.Comment
