According to the SM, that error code is pointing to; The image memory (SDRAM) is faulty/insufficient

usually just a good cleaning on the contacts in the main controller cage cures some of these types of errors.

Black Copies >> So How are the Network Prints or Test Prints ?????

do u have a fiery connected if so>>
Check that the C3100 has the maximum 768MB of ram on the Main Controller. The C3100 will produce an E604 without the extra 256MB that came with the imagePASS-E1.

if no fiery>E604 indicates there is a shortage of image memory or a memory fault (SDRAM).

check> SDRAM module 1 on main PCB assy >clean>re-seat
