Can't disable/delete the license file on the device. Can you re-initialize/wipe the meap store? There are some other back-end apps on the meap store, I dont know anyhting about them or if they are needed

you can log into the SMS through the RUI and stop the MEAP application if they just want it stoppped. To transfer it you have to be a certified tech and call Canon TSC in order to get a new .lic file to install it on a new machine and there are set up steps that have to be followed in order to accomplish that.

I attempted to get some more information on this call and when i asked if they wanted it stopped or transferred, this was the response i received:


Deleted.

I need the license and jar file deleted from the machine.

if they want it removed and do not need to use it anymore just execute the initialize all data settings under additional functions. That will kill all MEAP apps and remove the .lic & .jar files from the device. If they need to transfer it off for use on another device you need an authorized Canon technician

Charm's suggestion should work, but PM me if it does not or if you can't physically get to the machine to execute the procedure. Uninstalling MEAP applications through the RUI is easy, but not the most straightforward.

there are details on your support site in your market region on how to properly disable the license and transfer it off the machine. You will then have to contact tech support to get a new .lic file issued to you for the machine you want to install it on.

LMS base kit. To uninstall it from the copier and get a disable code, please follow directions below.

1) Go into Service Mode 2

2) Select COPIER.

3) Select OPTION.

4) Select LCNS-TR.

5) Select Kit

6) Change the value to "0" then press OK

6) Write down the disable code.
