IR 2020 error change paper size

I have a problem in IR 2020, message appears change paper size, while copying from two cassettes and A4 or A4R.
when copying from bypass tray, it works normally any quantity without any problem,
I replace the registration clutch, paper pick up, feed and seperation roller but the problem still showing message change paper size,

add an extra wrap to the spring for the Registration Sensor (SR209) flag

or-----
Message can also be caused by a broken or misaligned Position Block (shown below-- If the cassette does not seem to be locking into place, this part may be the cause. In some cases, applying pressure to the front of the cassette will temporarily alleviate the problem.

check lock block on both cassettes

Hi to all,

iR2020is a two cassettes machine. The issue is common to both cassettes, then, there is a very small probability that the issue is due to a pick up problem. I advise to clean or change the vertical feeding roller.

I have had this problem many times and ive found the cause to be the reg sensor flag tip worn.
Sensor flag Part No FC6-4310-000
New spring wouldnt hurt either

manual feed paper does not ARC at Reg roller/timing different from cassette pick-up-

change paper size message > is after copying
Cassette Paper sizes are determined by the combinations of the Size Detection Assy switches pushed by the paper size lever./ when tray is pushed in> if tray (lock in place_ jumps out during pic-up miss-read of size takes place> with no jam code > just message

Intermittently the machine will display " change paper size message ".
From bypass machine runs with no issues.
Was a new cassette tried .

Could be a defective Size Detection Assy. { FM2-3319-000 }

make sure the Registration Clutch, is in place

Check for a misaligned Cassette Position Block (lock in place)

Do you find that the display displays the correct paper size and when making an A3 copy it jams.
If so it is definatly the reg sensor flag.
If it is displaying the correct size paper on the display, surely that rules out size identification.
Every time ive had this problem (about 10 times) the bypass works fine and when copying from either cassette
it shows change paper size.

How many copies has the machine done?

when u start printing (during pick-up) it will sometimes shift back and forth from rear Size Detection sw's

The thing is is that it is happening on both trays.
Should try phisically holding the trays in place and see if it still happens.

Still think its reg sensor flag with a worn tip.
phisically extend the tip slightly as a tempory maesure to see if it cures it.!

yeah, flag is probably the issue (worn tip or reaction time(spring)

i have seen customers tape close paper trays on some models
