    IR2880 fierry code FF

    Hi All,

I have got an IRC2880 with a fierry connected.
Cant scan or print and the fierry shows FF code.
This is the first Canon IR2880 that I have seen with a fierry attached, so not a lot of experience with fierrys im affraid.

Any help would be appreciated. PLEEESSSEEEE

    imagePASS-J1 error messages and conditions

DIAG 2-digit display codes (any other error codes are for factory use only)
Check external and internal connections and cables.

    No action required.

    Checking connections
The most common causes of hardware problems are faulty or loose connections.
Make sure that Unit-J1 cables are intact and that both ends of each cable are properly
aligned and well seated on the appropriate connectors.
    External connections
Connectors for external cables are located on the connector panel, and a power cord is located at the back of the Unit-J1. Check the Unit-J1 power cord and then check all external cables at the Unit-J1 connector panel .
Also check the positions of the two dip switches on the J-1 connector panel.(Normal position (down):

    CHECK INTERNAL CONNECTIONS
    CAUTION :

Thanks Teckat for your advice and guide.

I have already tried all connections etc.
Both fans are operating and the voltages are present.
Will have to return to the machine with the guide you very kindly linked.
      Will post up my findings.

      Once again Thankyou.

My guess is one of the cables are in wrong, or damaged.
