Can anybody tell me what this error 000007-0000 is indicating. Internet says fixing film error. What usually causes the problem.

The answer from the Internet is correct. An error int he rotation of the fixing film is detected. The reading of the main Thermistor is 100 deg Centigrade or higher and, in addition, the fixing film sensor does not detect the rotation of the film for 6 sec or more while the motor is driven.
The main cause: Either, Fixing film sensor is faulty or the DC Controller.
BUT it is advisable to First Try to Clear the the error in Service mode: Press the * (Additional functions) key,
> press (2,8) key at the same time, > Press * (Additional function) key again. Then press COPIER> FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERROR. Then power cycle (restart) the machine and see if the error is cleared. If not try to replace the fixing film. -

This error is related to fixing film rotation.
You have to first check the film condition.It would be the problem fixing film rotation failure.Comment

Hi there. 1st it can be the fixing film itself torn at the sensing white edge side. 2nd it can be the fixing film it self not rotate either due to the pressure roller poor ro the fixing film lubricant dry out. 3rd it can be the fixing film sensor defect or the harness problem. But normally if you using the non ginuine fixing unit it due to the fixing film doesn't rotate because of the Lubricant (grease) inside of the fixing film. Good luck.Comment
