    [Electrical] e 800

I'm having an E800 0001 error code on a irc 5058. I've changed the dc pwr supply to no avail. wondering if anyone else has had the pleasure of this issue. The machine boots up, and as soon as the dorr is closed the error occurs. Thanks in advance!

Replace PS 5 - the Upper Right Cover open/closed sensor

An E800 error code is the interlock 24V mechanism of the fixing unit is identified as being off. With the doors closed, the interlock 24V mechanism is off for 500 msecs.
E800 0001 is caused by a loss of 24V to the Fixing Interlock with the door closed.

It has been found that the interlocking cam bracket for SW15 has become bent. This can cause the white cam to miss SW15 when the transport handle is raised. The field remedy is to reform the bracket so that SW15 is actuated.
Check SW15 Fixing / Feeding Switch at the Rear of Machine for a broken actuator. Handle Switch SW15 was replaced to resolve this issue. Below is a picture that displays SW15 and the cam that actuates the switch.

Part Number for SW15 is FM2-0999-000
At the DC Power Supply Relay PCB use an ohm meter to check continuity between J114-pin1 and J120-pin1.If you measure infinite resistance there is a break/open in the series circuit which involves SW11,(Manual Feed Open/Close switch), SW12, (Front Cover switch) and SW15,(Fixing/Feeding Unit Lock switch). Make sure the Fixing/Feeding Unit is properly engaged inside the copier. Make sure the Front Cover and Upper Right Cover are closed properly.

Inspect the Switches for a defect - broken actuator, broken wire, improperly mounted, loose/bad connection.

on DC controller check for any burnt out IC Chips
    /

the Burnt chip needs to identified what it controls in circuit dia.

Remove Tie wraps from the wire harness that runs from J110 of the DC Power Supply Relay pcb to J1128 on the DC Controller pcb.
Check Resistance readings for SW11 (Bypass Open/Close switch), SW12 (Front Cover switch)and SW15 (Fixing/Feeding Unit Lock switch) all should measure zero ohms when switches are in a closed state. 13 volts dc should be present at J114-pin 1, J120-pin1 and J120-pin 2 of the DC Power Supply Relay pcb.
