IRC2380 throwing up Error code E020-0023 after replacing black dev/drum unit due PCQ issue. The old drum inserted back which works ok with no error code. I have checked on this forum it requires DCON clear immeadiately followed by Autograd. Can someone please confirm if this is a known fix and if it has really resolved above error.Thanks.

Try cleaning the the BLACK laser slit glass (Dust Proof Glass).
On the hopper unit you will see the number 1,2,3,4 in the plastic cover. There is an opening near the number for the tool. If the glass is covered in toner the laser light gets diffused before hitting the drum and could cause this code with a new drum.
Check the Dust Proof Glass for soiling.The glass is located under each unit and may have toner spilled on it. Clean the glass with the tool provided on the front door. Instruction's are also included there.
Post a pg 10 if possible

May not be the issue with your machine but we have had the same situation being caused by mixing old and new drums, ended up haveing to change the entire set.
Still not sure what caused the problem as the machine was on the latest version of software and machine was clean, serviced and no changes to settings had been made.
All the readings in service mode were in spec, the only reason the drum was being changed was because of a PCQ problem of lines on prints and copies. The colour drums were OK and only on 75% so could have gone on for a while more but the only way to get rid of the problem was to change the whole set!!!Comment
