Re: Paper Jamming on transfer Drum clc 1160
too many things can go wrong with printer during a transportation move, if it is not prepared properly .
I would first check all connectors on all boards< also remove covers & check connections on front of transfer drum.
check the spring clutch on attraction roller unit end-
the transfer / attraction / static hvt cable that mounts in the rear of the transfer drum assembly.
The HVT cable inside the transfer drum may be arcing or intermittently open because the spade connector's on the end of the HVT lead may not be crimped tightly.//or just loose & not connected.
When paper from the registration roller is put on the transfer drum sheet, the registration roller
releasing solenoid (SL5) turns on, causing the registration locking cam to rotate and, at the same
time, releasing the registration link roller from the registration roller by the drive of the main motor
(M4).
The copier’s transfer drum is designed to retain paper on the transfer drum sheet using static
charges.
During copying operation, the attraction roller solenoid (SL6) remains on for a period of time
equal to the length of the paper to bring the attraction roller in contact with the transfer drum sheet.
At this time, the attraction brush turns on, causing the transfer drum sheet to attract the paper.
The transfer drum houses the attraction brush, transfer blade, and an internal brush for
cleaning. Each brush or blade is away from the transfer drum sheet, and is brought against the
transfer drum sheet by its respective locking cam when the attraction/transfer locking cam motor
(PM7) turns on as needed.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.** -

Re: Paper Jamming on transfer Drum clc 1160
it could be several different things...
Attraction and transfer brushes that are inside the transfer drum unit
tranfer sheet is worn or has a film on it
HVT connection from the transder drum is broken
retention assembly is not pressing the paper on to the transfer sheet properly
Have you tried any other stock paper than the one you are trying in the video?
and what type of stock is that paper you are running there?Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment

Re: Paper Jamming on transfer Drum clc 1160
did u follow any suggestions posted ?? search online for a free CLC1100 series manual/
or call for help--
it would take me 3 to 4 hrs to explain and describe conditions that can effect attraction issues**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment

Re: Paper Jamming on transfer Drum clc 1160
Hello.
This is nothing Inside the transfer Drum. I tested al he transfer drum unit in another clc, 1150 machine, and it worked perfect. so atraction, transfer blade and trasfer drum plastic seems to be out of the problem. the problem is in the machine itself.... any more advise to continue my research???
Thank YouComment

Re: Paper Jamming on transfer Drum clc 1160
at this point you could check the HVT wires running from the back of the machine to the connector where your transfer drum connects to the rear frame.
you could have a timing issue with the paper reaching the transfer drum as well...this would include the registration rollers, retention assembly, clutches, paper guides and horizontal feed assembly.Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment

there is a harness on transfer frame that needs checking(including black plastic connector)
u need to remove transfer frame> get a flashlight>look inside of printer toward back>
look to see if any torn paper bits are wedged inside the transfer frame machine side connector /**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment

Re: Paper Jamming on transfer Drum clc 1160
Thank you for all your support. After some researching andd read a lot thee service manual i finally found something. There are a diode burn on the backside board i ateached a picture. The diode is bad. I dessolder it and test with bad result. Now i.m trying to find one for replace. It says 2bc 26c i think. It is in bad condition but it is what i read. Can someone tell me what diode can i use here for replace?
thank you so mutch.Attached FilesComment

Re: Paper Jamming on transfer Drum clc 1160
looks like the transformer T303
is burned out/ caused issue ?????/
didu remove pcb to check back area for damage ?
usually when u see this issue> the entire pcb is not repairable /

Re: Paper Jamming on transfer Drum clc 1160
Canon does not provide diode information > D309 is just a connection point/
there are no wiring diagrams that show connection paths to diodes>caps>resistors>transistors etc>etc !!!!!
Canon uses two companies for board repair>>>
but u need to register on their site/
