    Noise is hard to isolate/
sounds like ? WHEWWW, or, PHEWWWWWW.

    check your clutches

Toner can migrate into the area between the drum pin and the drum and cause the squeaking noise. To resolve this remove the drum pin and clean the surface of the pin and hole in drum were the pin enters the drum side. After cleaning reinstall the pin into the drum assembly and reinstall the drum unit into the machine.

The registration clutch can cause this.

Remove the main drive assembly, 4 screws, do not touch the round head screws or the drive assembly could fall apart.

It could also be the drum is due for a change, the machine is out of toner (some give no warning I have found!), the main drive motor etc...

As everything is centralised on these machines, any noise from the process area is hard to pin down. It also depends on the type of noise - continuious or intervals, what sort of intervals?

Before settling on what it could be, I think a little more info may help!!!

Whew- a whistling sound or a sound like a half-formed whistle uttered as an exclamation
-used interjection-ally, chiefly to express amazement, discomfort, or relief

Phew- used to express relief or fatigue

So u see, Whew! can be a Phew! but Phew! cannot be a Whew!.

                Hi to all,

I send you the timing chart. It may help to determine the origine of the sound. You can also, open the rear of the machine and try to detect what element is starting to turn when you hrear the sound. You can also, try with testing the motors in Function mode > PART-CHK.
                Rachid.
