[Misc] Fiery CWS 5.3/5.4 Impose Qustion...

The impose [presets screen shows icons with limited text desc.
I ran across a build that had it in list mode (what i want it to be)

    Anyone have that build?

Going to re-post in Fiery Forums as well

Failed install of CWS 5.4 for system 9 has me back to 5.3 alternative from site.. but that list ... gone

Ricoh tends to lag behind on the version of Command Workstation on their site (as do most OEMs who actually post it).

It doesn't matter which brand printer you have; CWS is CWS.

The following link will get you to version 5.2: Pro C901 (Color Controller E-81) download page

I always goto Fiery Command WorkStation 5 to get it. Big file and it takes a while to download. Probably best to put it on a jump drive and have it.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

Skip Ricoh and Cannon, Go get it directly from EFI. CWS does have some customization for the end user under the quick? view tab also.

          thank you gentleman..
I am very clear on the download procedures from EFI. I am also clear that EFI is poor at handling tech support otherwise unless you pay..

I am only interested in a build for 5.3 that allows for a list view rather than icon view on the impose presets screen.
This phenomenon occurred on a build that I downloaded on 1 occasion and though nothing further about

          FYI server build only

I only mentioned getting it from Ricoh because the poster wanted an older version of it, and EFI only publishes the most recent.

Ricoh always seem to lag behind, so I thought that it would be a good source to get a slightly dated version.

              Ricoh Does that on purpose.....

Not all of EFI Fiery's latest builds are certified by Ricoh, therefore, Ricoh will only put on site what is tested and bug free. (5.2 for example : ( )
It is the same with Canon, unfortunately.

5.4 should run on system 9 or better, but my system 9 fiery is not accepting the install. Go figure. Its the same mambo jumbo with driver stability, PCL5e VS PCL6

You would think that the Machine lab rats would get with the efi lab rats and do lunch more often to keep up with latest builds.

All things considered , im just happy to be out of the middle ages of version 4
