[Error Code] Iradvc5030 replace yellow toner cartridge message- e025-01c0

Have iradvc5030 with 'Replace Yellow toner cartridge' message. In following the screen prompts the toner cover does not open. Used tool to open toner door and replaced toner but same replace yellow toner cartridge message. The screen prompts for another attempt but on the third attempt it throws up error code E025-01C0. ( Error in Cover Sensor (PS13) in Y Toner Container).

The previous week customer inserted wrong toner for black which was corrected hence blackand white copy ok.

Swapped Magenta toner cover open/close sensor with that of Y but no change.

Please help out.

Try cleaning or replacing PS14 (Toner Container Inner Cover Sensor) P/N WG8-5783-000.

Hi,

Make comparison of Y(Problem) with C & M (Good) :

Use a finger to press each of the above toner small cover. You will find that C & M have a bit of free play.

Next remove C M Y toner bottle, use strong torch ligh to shine into hopper, cOmpare C & M with Y. You notice a small latch that out of position in Y. If your hand is skinny enough to reach inside, pull & push it down. Else you will have strip it from the rear of machine.

Best not repeatly push that Y toner in, toner might get scattered inside.

If you have small latch out of position and toner inside you can't close the toner door properly.

Probably is that issue.

Problem solved. Replaced SET ON DRIVE ASSY for Yellow; Part number FM3-5979-000 to resolve issue.
