[Jamming] Canon IR105 jams on tray 1 only

I have a customer with a IR105 jamming at the feed/seperation rollers, the pick up roller advances the paper into the feed/sep rollers, 3-5mm of pinched lead edge in the feed/sep rollers. The rollers are new. The jam code is 0101 delay jam at paper feed sensor. The rollers are turning. The IR105 has 3.5 million on it. Has anyone seen this problem?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Is the sponge roller new also, if not replace, or else check to find if it mounted correctly. Also check the tension spring of the sponge roller if had been adjusted before, if too tight, may cause pick-up failure, adjust it according to the manual.

The rollers are driving with force when resistance is applied the the feed/pickup rollers, that is what is so strange. I'm thinking it is something to do with the pressure between the feed roller and seperation roller possibly. The rollers don't have much pinch pressure between them. Is there a lever that adds pressure when feeding ?? I swapped torque limiters with no change. Any suggestions out there. Thanks

I think you are on the right track. There is two levers that applies pressure lift the sep roller to the feed. One is one the right door (metal arm) towards the back that makes contact with a white lever on the paper feed unit. the white lever is by the connector to remove the paper feed unit. I have seen the door hinge pulled out to far to cause an issue. to check it, just push on the right door in with a knee and run copies. But most common is the other lever pushed in by the paper deck. there is a metal arm above the paper deck on the front frame of the machine. I adjust it down by bending it down so it just misses the metal top of the right deck. I have seen that arm broke in half or the screws loose on them. Also have the top of the right deck bowed down a little. Also might want to check to see if the right deck sliding rail is secure.

          Hope this helps!

we have the same problem, but nothing helps. Ten solutions. After replacing the belt on the motor M2 problem with jams C1, C2, C3, C4. Persists but then returned.
