How to start the UST to load System Software-

When reaching the point where the download instructions state to "Start up the UST", you must go to the sub-directory where the SSW is stored and choose the EXE file. When you double click on the EXE file the UST will open.

UST Firmware is in the Models UST Firmware Folder location--

in an EXAMPLE as shown below

When updating the firmware, start the User Support Tool first and then select the machine to update.


iR2318-iR2420/2320/2422
use UST firmware
but for their Finisher U2 u need SST+Downloader PCB-
These machines can be upgraded by downloading system software programs from the personal computer (hereafter called as the PC) in which a user support tool (hereafter called UST) has been loaded.
The Finisher option can be upgraded by downloading system software programs from the personal computer (hereafter called as the PC) in which a service support tool (hereafter called SST) has been loaded.

Hello everyone,

I have an IR2420 displaying something related to a "BIOS" (sorry, i don't remember the exact message) . I tried to download system using the UST and an USB connexion as the machine doesn't have a network connexion by default. I got the a message requiring an IP address input. I supposed that the image processing PCB is faulty and doesn't allow data transfer. I solved the issue by replacing the main controller.

Is there any other experience about this ?

trying connecting your pc directly by the HDD of this machine surly if you have error code message consisted this parts of machine .

u should not be receiving message about IP address

-u must have printer off
connect laptop to printer>then open/start up UST
-now power up printer
if a found new hardware pops up >select cancel

Press the Additional Functions key on the control panel of this machine to enter into the user mode.
-Press the down-arrow key to select "System Settings", and then press the OK key.
-Press the down-arrow key to select "Update Firmware", and then press the OK key.
-When "OK to update" appears, select “Yes” and then press the OK key.
-When "PLEASE WAIT WAITING" appears, start the UST.
