[Jamming] IRC3200 jamms at fuser, all trays

I have searched these post for some time and not found anything similar to my issue. I am not a Canon tech (Sharp and Samsung). I have a customer with an IRC3200 jamming at the fuser. All trays. The fuser turns smoothly with no noise. I cheated the door switches to watch the jam and noticed that the primary transfer belt did not appear to be turning correctly and the roller directly before the fuser ( seperation? ) was turning backward. It was like the belt was being turned by a weak friction action and not driven. Any help is appreciated.

The black rubber interior drive roller inside the ITB Belt may be dirty & slick>> that will prevent proper belt drive---

      Just to add:

You can also watch the ITB turn buy removing one cover on the right side just above the stack feed try (one screw) no need to cheat any doors.
The sponge roller immediately before the fixing unit is the transfer roller, so again if you have an image on the paper then this is working/turning OK.

Thanks for the great info. I honestly cannot remember about the image on the paper, it has been a week or more and I was more concered with what was causing the jam. I should have paid more attention. Thanks also for the images to look for and the pdf to take with me. I will get back to you soon.

irc3200... it is time to change for a better color machine...
irc3200 just a waste of money repairing it... unless your usages is very low...

After checking back on this machine, I inspected all of the belt unit and drive components suggested. I cleaned the rollers, though they were not really too bad off. Gears were fine. With the belt unit out of the machine, tension was good, belt turned easily but when installed, the rollers were spinning but the belt barely did. I pulled the unit back out and tried to hold the belt and turn the rollers but I could not hold the belt still. It seems that the belt may be hanging on the cleaning unit or has stretched and needs replacing. Short of replacing the machine (at the moment anyway), what does Canon experience say? Thanks for all the help so far.

u can not hand turn the ITB gear at machine speed to check

what do u mean rollers were spinning ???
the large interior black rubber roller is what grips the inside portion of ITB sheet-/
did u clean the interior of sheet ? black roller surface needs to be scrubbed with a green pad> not just whipped off

did u view the patches being laid down on sheet> on power up

Sounds like the cleaning blade is shot & it is stopping the belt turning, as you say it turns fine when turned by hand.

One quick way to check, remove the cleaing blade(one screw you can see it when you remove the watste bottle? it slides out the front, remove it & run a print/copy, if machine prints with that remove you may need to replace the cleaning blade. Canon part number FG6-8989

It turns out it was the cleaning blade, mostly. Cleaning the rubber roller in the transfer unit helped some too. I will be replacing the blade as it will not clean sufficiently. Thanks for the great help and advice.
