    [Misc] ir3220/2620 C1 Fiery Issues

    Hello Sir,

I am using canon 3220 machine with c1 fiery, now i have changed the fiery to another machine canon 2620. usually the fiery is booting, first its asking to enter the config mode and it will starts the printer but now its showing the massage that "Print Server (With network) is shut down, switch off the main switch behind the machine" this is the problem with the 2620 machine.

Buts is properly working in the 3220 machine

please guide me to solve this issues........

how was the 2620 set up originally ???
did it ever have a Multi-Pdl Kit installed ??/that kit uses a "N" Boot ROM

to enable C1 Fiery network printing in 2620 u need the C-Boot ROM

did u remove the C1 Fiery I/F PCB from the 3220 and install in slot in 2620
did u Set ‘3’ in the host machine’s service mode:
      COPIER>OPTION>INTO-FACE>IMP-CONT
this is needed to recognize C1 & to input your Network settings under Printer Tab

remember u can only use that slot for either Fiery I/F PCB or UFR pcb from Pdl Kit

Thanks for your valuable advice. i tried the above but the same problem is coming. finally i decided to add printer card instead of fiery i/f pcb, and also i have changed the hard disk and boot rom, now the issue is when giving test print through report setting ...>Printer...>Pcl>>> the status massage in display is waiting to print, but there is no print is coming out from the machine, but copying is working properly, please guide me to solve this issue.....

          Multi-PDF KIT uses a "N" Boot Rom
          C1 Fiery needs a "C" Boot Rom

When u add a Multi Pdl IF pcb/ u need to change setting below to "0" in service mode>
          COPIER>OPTION>INTO-FACE>IMP-CONT "0"

then under add functions>system settings> put back your network settings

Sir i already do the above things, i have changed the "n" boot rom and also i have changed "0" in service mode>
            COPIER>OPTION>INTO-FACE>IMP-CONT "0" instead of "3"

Then only printer showing but print is not coming, when i give the test print from additional function>report setting>printer its showing waiting to print.

please guide me to solve this...

              1- check Open Interface Cable
2- check/remove>or replace >re-seat memory dimms in printer/ one or both can be bad

both use different interface pcb's that use same slot>>> where did u get these pcb's from

Sorry for the late reply, i have checked the memory dimms in printer and replaced with the another also, but same problem is occured, i got that pcbs from another machine only, please guide me to solve this issue and another machine is showing that replace the tone catridge error for all toners, but there is toner in all the units, please respond....

If u still have a wait message with the Multi-Pdl kit

Check to see if the Fuser unit is coming up to temperature.
Then check to see if the drum unit(s)are not past the life expectancy.Replace the drum unit(s) if needed.

                  ----------------------------------------------------------

                  Replace all four toner cartridges
this is usually a FUSE PCB ISSUE---------------------

The message "Add Toner" can be caused by a lack of 24 volts at the DC Power Supply. Check for 24 volts at the DC Power Supply. The part number for the DC Power Supply assembly is FM1-0408-040.

                  or
can be caused by a defective DC Controller and Toner Concentration PCB.

                  or
This can indicate a problem with FU27 on the fuse pcb. The indication to replace all four toner cartridges can be a result of low voltage output from this fuse (ie: 5vdc on one side and 2vdc on the other indicates a bad fuse).
To check the fuse use frame ground for your volt meter negative lead and measure both sides of the fuse for 5vdc, if it measures anything other than 5vdc replace the fuse pcb. You can also check the output of this fuse at connector J64 pin 5, this 5vdc is supplied to the dc controller.

NOTE: During normal servicing of the machine it is important to turn the main power switch off prior to unplugging connectors, failure to do so can result in damaging circuits and degrading or blowing fuses on the fuse pcb.

As per your instruction i have checked the same the fuser unit reached the normal temperature and machine also getting ready to make copies, i am able to take xerox but printer is only waiting to print error.

For the toner cartridge error please tell me to find which one is the fuse pcb,....

Dc fuse pcb can be bad or check it's connectors/ poor 24v to laser motors can cause E110

E110 - 0210 laser scanner motor operation fault---0x10 -second number indicates the color(01=Yellow/02=Magenta/03=Cyan/04=Black)

The rotation of the Magenta laser scanner motor is faulty./ Motor needs 24v

The motor lock signal remains in an unlock state for 1 sec or more while the laser scanner motor is in operation.
                          1. Swap the affected laser unit with others.
                          2. Check whether or not the sub code of E110 will be changed to another color
                          - If the sub code is changed, the laser unit is faulty. So, replace it with a new one.
                          - If the sub code is not changed, it is possible that the DC controller PCB is faulty. So, replace it with a new one.

check your connectors on DC controller PCB / J116=is for Magenta

To try and clear an E110 try the following procedure:

1)Remove all 4 color drum units
                          2)Close the front cover
                          3)Go to the service mode(level 1): Copier>Function>Laser>L-ADJ-O
                          4) Press the OK key to execute the laser adjust operation
                          5) Press End.
                          6) After adjustment is complete put the drum units back into the copier.

The DC controller uses a photo diode in the Laser Unit to automatically measure the light quantity when each laser emits its minimum light quantity. This operation is used to compensate for the time the Laser lights during minimum light quantity emissions. Each Laser (Y/M/C/K) is adjusted in sequence.
