    IRC-4080

    Hi every body,

I am new to this forum and have read very useful information.

Right now i have copy quality problem on a canon irc-4080.

The colors never come out correctly, the reds come like more to orange and blue more to dark purple.

I tried to do gradation, change color settings in service mode even did a ram clear and put back all

settings as in front door cover sheet.

Problem still present. This machine has a H1 color pass installed, but i don't think it is calibration as

copies on the platen glass come out the same.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

?-are u using OEM Toner & Drums
?-what media type are u using
    ?-how old are the drums
?-what is the enviorment of the printer

When performing Auto Gradation good white should paper be used--
To achieve optimum color output use a 96 brightness or higher paper.

did u clean the optics before glass calibration-
did u remove old calibration from fiery - & then calibrate it with the Kodak Gray Scale or a Densitometer -

      Thanks for the pdf info!

The machine has 40K prints total, drums & toners are genuine and ok.

I am using normal 80gsm media 97 brightness, optics are clean.

Could not calibrate the fiery it is on default, don't have a Gray scale or Densitometer.

Do you know were i can order a calibration sheet?

The local canon dealer doesn't have one.

An X-Densitometer is expensive/ but the Kodak Grey Scale is reasonable / in the packet u would only need to use the actual Grey Scale with print outs from inside the Printer tab

Amazon.com: Kodak Color Separation Guide with Grey Scale Small Size, #Q-13: Camera & Photo
