Does anyone know if there is a original sensor detection adjustment? I have a machine that reads 11x17 90 % of the time when placing a legal pad on the glass.....they are reducing and it is screwing up the orientation.....its like that front sensor is activated......thanks. I have looked in the manual and have yet to find an adjustment

Performing a "Clear All" in Service Mode may correct the issue of the wrong size paper being chosen when copying off the copyboard glass.
The "clear all" is executed as follows: Enter Service Mode by pressing: Additional Functions, 2 then 8, Additional Functions > Scroll to Clear and press Ok > Scroll to All press Ok.

Note: Doing an "all clear" on the imageRUNNER will result in a loss of user and network settings.

Just tried the clear all....no change. Also swapped front detect sensor with no help. Maybe reader controller. That is what the sensor plugs into.

need to check SR402 & SR403
Original glass cover open/close sensors
these are most important / they check the degree of angle on cover




Copyboard cover open/close sensor (Rear: SR402)
SR402 Photo interrupter: Detects the copyboard cover open/ close status.
Starts detecting the original size when the copyboard cover angle is 30 deg.
-Reader controller PCB - Controls drive of the reader unit and image processing.
-Original sensor 3 SR406 Detects the original size (for all destinations).
-Original sensor 4 SR407 Detects the original size (AB, INCH/AB).
-Original sensor 5 SR408 Detects the original size (INCH/A)
-Reader motor M401 Pulse motor: Controls drive of the carriage.
-Reader heater*1 - Prevents condensation inside the original glass.
-Original sensor 1 SR404 Detects the original size (AB, INCH/A, INCH/AB).
-Original sensor 2 SR405 Detects the original size (AB, A, INCH/AB)
-Contact image sensor (CIS) - Uses LEDs for indirect exposure (LED + Photo-conductor)
-CISHP sensor SR401 Photo interrupter: Detects the CIS position.
-Copyboard cover open/close sensor SR403 Finishes detecting the original size when the copyboard cover angle is 5 deg.
