A Change Has Been Made to the Remedy for an E748-2010

Publication describes a change that has been made to the remedy in resolving an E748-2010.
While E748-2010 is defined as a FLASH PCB error in the Service Manual, it may also occur due to a HDD
failure in the products of the series shown below. Therefore, the descriptions of the error details and remedy
will be changed for the products of the following series.

imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6075 / 6065 / 6055 Series
imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4051 / 4045 / 4035 / 4025 Series
imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2030 / C2025 / C2020 Series
When an E748-2010 occurs, perform the remedy according to the following descriptions.

Title == Flash PCB error / HDD error
Detection Description== Flash PCB error has occurred or the HDD cannot be recognized.
Remedy=
1. After turning OFF the main power, disconnect the HDD interface connector (*) of the Main Controller PCB 2 and turn ON the main power.

2. If the Error Code E748-2010 remains unchanged, it means a Flash PCB error has occurred so replace the Flash PCB and re-install the system using the Service Support Tool or USB Flash Drive.

3. If it changes to another error code such as E602, refer to the remedy of the applicable code.

●Controller System Error Diagnosis Tool : This tool automatically checks the Main Controller PCB 1/2, child PCBs mounted on the Main Controller PCB 1/2, and HDD, and display the result on the Control Panel. This tool is installed in Flash PCB. Therefore, this tool cannot be used when an error occurred in Flash PCB. When the E748 2010 error code occurs, we can execute the controller system error tool. If the tool is not executed, the flash PCB is faulty. If the HD is faulty, the tool will display it. Note that we cannot try a flash PCB on another machine and it is a"non autorized part".
