This is a classic fault with those piles of SH*TE

The customer has fitted the Black toner cartridge poorly and the machine has then spun toner around the turret area!!!!!

Pull out drum, all dev units, Laser assembly and anything else affected, vac out m/c, check Black toner latching and re-assemble.

Then wait for next time a toner cartridge is fitted. (at least you will know what to do by then).

Follow the correct procedures for after replacing the black developing unit

        1. Execute the following service mode item:

        Copier > Function > INSTALL > STIR-K

        Copier > FUnction > INSTALL > SPLY-K

        2. thereafter, check to see that the value has been initialized to "0": COPIER > COUNTER > MISC > DV-UNT-K

        3. Execute Full Adjust of auto gradation correction in Additional Function.

        Note:
DV-UNT-K indicates the number of sheets that have moved past through the developing unit. (The count is retained by the DC controller PCB.)

Do not reset the reading or enter a new reading unless you have done the action indicated. Otherwise , the machine may have to operate on incorrect image density, producing foggy output or damaging the drum (by carrier particles), requiring you to replace the developing unit (Bk), and initialize the reading.

The machines ATR control consists in the correction of the toner supply amount based on the target density and the patch image density it measures at specific times. It corrects the target density for individual colors, and it makes correction for Bk based on the cumulative number of images made.

Oh such joy when this happens!

Allow a few hours to clean up, & you WILL need a vacum cleaner!

                YES

DV-UNT-K Developing unit passing sheet count (The count is stored in DC controller PCB.)
                - If the development unit (Bk) is replaced, clear the count.

                - If the DC controller PCB is replaced, input the value stored in the PCB before its replacement.
                <How to input>
                1) Select the item to highlight.
                2) Select the count [1], highlight it, and input the value stored in the PCB
                before its replacement using ten-key.
                3) Press OK button.
Do not clear or input the value except the cases described above.

If do it, fogging might occur due to the failure of image density or drum might be damaged due to the carrier. If the value is cleared or newly input by mistake, clear the count after replacing the developing unit (Bk).
