E 000 990-0000 / error code for IRC3080i

I took the spring loaded handle off. The handle that allows you to remove the drum unit assy,once you have removed the (2) screws. Once I realized it was spring loaded I tried to push it back on. But it was too late, the Genie was out of the bottle. I tried several times to replace the handle and put tension on the spring with no sucess.Does any one have any info on replacing the handle ,while loading tension on the spring? .We don't service this model,we were trying to help out an aquaintance.Thank's John

I'm afraid it doesn't .I just need to know how to re-install the handle with the correct spring tension. Inside of the black handle there are 2 springs. One side of the spring has a hook on the bottom( appears to catch on the frame). The other end of the circular coiled spring is inside the black release handle.How do you adjust for the correct amount of tension? Thank's John

Thanks for the diagram. Do you have any written instructions to install the spring and handle,while turning the spring to add the tension on the handle release?
