Scan to folder and scan to email - canon C3480i

I am a network engineer/administrator but new to the world of multi function copiers. I need help with an install of a canon c3480i. I installed print drivers and fax and all works well on the four computers in the office. But they want scan to folder and scan to email setup and I have been having issues setting it up. It looks like i need the "color network scangear" software for the scanner to work on a network. I searched the canon sight for drivers and downloaded the print and fax drivers but saw nothing for scanning. So here is what I need:

    1 any needed software
    2 any needed drivers
3 instructioins on the procedure to set up scanning to a folder on a workgroup network. (no domain)
4 instructions on the procedure to set up scanning to email for the four people in the office.

I need this info asap. as I have to get back to finish this job.

    Thanks to all who help.

With the imageRUNNER-i Series or Universal Send capable copiers, you have the option to perform Push Scanning or Pull Scanning.

Push Scan is the ability to send a document from the imageRUNNER Series directly to a network share on a PC or to an email address.
This can be done via SMTP (Email/I-fax), SMB, FTP.

Pull Scan is the ability to retrieve a scanned document from the imageRUNNER-i Series using TWAIN scanning software that runs on a user's PC.
This can be done using Canon Network Scan Gear or Color Network Scan Gear and a TWAIN compliant scanning application

As mentioned in this example you will at some point get asked for a username and password. I assume to the client pc. I am always told "I don't have one". but I cannot get buy this dialog on the printer. So what do you do then?

So for scan to email I would just go check their outlook setup and get their smtp server url. i.e. smtp.theirdomain.com and would probably need their email address i.e. steve.whoever@theirdomain.com and I would also need their password. is this correct?

and thanks again for your help. Much appreciated.
