Canon IR2318 - Drum Unit Not Detected

Hi everyone,

The Canon IR2318 of one of my customer has started to ask for a drum unit to be inserted although there is one already within the copier.
It has begun with the copier warning that toner was low despite the fact that it was full, then it stopped the warning and got to the actual error (insert drum unit).

I have changed the drum unit but the same error keeps showing.
I have taken off the drum unit and the Developing Assembly, looked around but I didn't find anything wrong.

Could it be a grounding problem ?

I would be glad to get some help or directions.

On many occassions the HVT pcb is the culprint as Rachid has illustrated on the attachment

I have checked the drum charging roller and the machine side contacts, they all are clean.
So, I have to check the wiring and hope I could find something.

Sorry for the double post.
I have checked the wiring within the copier and despite the fact that some cables were chewed a bit (by a mouse surely), everything looks fine. I have tested them all with a continuity tester.

Well, I guess there is nothing to do but changing the HVT PCB or the DC Controller.
