    Canon IR 8095 Jamming

    I'm a newbie to the Canon line so maybe this will be something easy. I have a IR8095 with a D1 Finisher. The machine is intermittently jamming with a Jam Code of 112F. In the manual the description for this code is super vague (Finisher Error Avoidance Jam). Which to my understanding it's shutting the machine down to avoid an error code. I can make 100 copies of 1 original and it will jam at some point in that run. Anything under 100 seems to not jam. If I make copies with multiple originals seems to run perfect. Which is probably just a huge coincidence but figured I'd throw that in.

    When it does jam, they are always in the same spot. 1 about half out the finisher exit, 1 at S101(Sensor right before it enters the hole punch area) 1 in the fuser, 1 going towards the imaging area and 1 right behind it coming out of the cassette.

    I checked error logs and it didn't show any errors for today. It did have one yesterday and 3 days prior that both pertain to the finisher. E0583-8002 & E0542-8001. Any ideas would be appreciated, I don't have access to tech pubs at the moment...working on that and hopefully will by tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

      It was found that S103; the Processing Tray Paper Sensor was not changing state in the I/O mode.
      The sensor may be checked under SORTER>P003 bit 1. The sensor was always reading a 1.
      Replaced S103 reflective sensor item 34 to resolve the issue. The part number is FK2-1772-000.

      +++++++++++++++++++
      Front interlock door switch may be faulty. Part Number FC3-3725-000.

      inspect and replace (if needed) both Torque Limiters, part number FC9-3111-000.

      Stapler Finisher-D1

      The Tray Auxiliary Guide Front/Rear HP Sensors does not detect the tray auxiliary guide when the Tray Auxiliary Guide Motor has been driven for 3 seconds.
      Repositioning the lower exit finisher cover may resolve the error . The parts catalog refers to the part as the Face-Up Lower Assembly.
      The following photos show the location of the assembly (cover) and Tray Guides.

        Re: Canon IR 8095 Jamming

        Thanks for the help, I found a suggestion on Canons site that seems to have solved the issue. I'll know for sure in the coming week since the problem has been fairly intermittent. I attached the PDF. I'll update if the issue comes back. Once again thanks for the assistance!
