NEED HELP, ON A IRC2880i UNIT BRAND NEW OUT OF BOX, W/ E732-001 CODE. PLEASE, HAVE ANY ONE SEEING THIS PROBLEM BEFORE. THANKS!!

Check the connection between the main controller and the scanner unit,disconnect and reconect the scanner,hope this helps

Please do not take this the wrong way - Are you sure all the packing materials were removed (since it is new)? Next I would check for a bent pin on either end of the cable.

Possible faulty Main Controller part number FM2-9163.

I have had this before(3220 with a C1 and it was one of two things...check the connection between the scanner and the main unit...also wierd but this happened to me when a customer was printing to the machine using Adobe reader 8 but worked fine printing from Adobe reader 7

HI,
I had this problem before and it was the reader controller.But ensure all the cables etc are connected properly first,on the reader controller and between the Rcon and the main unit.
Also it will error when the scanner is being initialised after initial power up.

Hope this is of some help,in my case it was on installation.
