irc 3220 control panel issue

We have a 3220 with a blank screen, the power light is the only thing lit. Copier warms up but no display i swapped control panel and same problem. I was thinking of replacing the hard drive any thoughts?. Thanks

Quick ??? if printer warms up >can u send a network print from PC to it for printing ???

also check your outlet for correct voltages
Ensure that the voltage between the neutral and ground poles is 1/2 a volt or less. If the voltage is higher than 1/2 a volt, an electrician needs to look at and correct the outlet. See the diagram below for check points.


First Try cleaning and re-seating all the boards and dimms associated with the Main Controller.
Check the connection between the Sub-Main Controller (J1303) and the Main Controller (J1209) to see if they are seated correctly.

There are many reasons the LCD screen on the C3200 is blank but this scenario gives a hint.
The Main Controller PCB has an LED101 which is ON during normal operation.
When you experience a blank LCD screen, inspect the Main Controller PCB LED101, if the LED is OFF, then replace the SRAM PCB (FG3-3669-000) which is mounted on the Sub Main Controller PCB.

There could be a problem with the memory, a blown fuse on the fuse pcb, a defective control panel, boot rom, memory, etc...

I had a machine do this to me...
I disconnected the imagePASS, powered up the copier, and the LCD panel came back to life.
Then powered off, reconnected the imagePASS, and powered back up.

Probably a bad connection corrected by the operation, but it is still working.

I had the exact same problem and the fuse pcb ended up fixing it. Mine would go black, and would usually come back on after a main power cycle. It would only work for a day or two until it did it again. unfortunately the fuse pcb wasnt the first thing I replaced! I tried both main controllers, control panel, memory etc before fuse pcb. Could be the all night power supply. Check your remote signals as well.
