I would really appreciate some help. My IPF700 was printing when the power went down. After that it started up doing a replenishing with ink cycle, during that it ran out of both MBK cartridges...I've changed them, then the maintenance cartridge went full....after changing that, the yellow and magenta cartridges went empty...changed them too, but now it asks for a new BK cartridge and I'm losing my mind. I'm afraid to change it, because after another replenishing cycle my Cyan will go empty and then I'll be out of cartridges and I would really need to print...Any ideas how to turn off this replenishing in service mode, or how to find the cause of this endless cycle?

Re: IPF700 keeps replenishing after power went off during printing
I will give you the short answer.
Everything is automatic in these printers. Just do whatever the printer will tell you to do.
There is no way to cheat the printer.
Since you had a power cut - the printer had no info on the last power off session, so it makes head cleaning and stuff like that which of course requires ink.
Guess where all this ink go = in the MC.
Just do as the printer says and you will be fine.
With less money perhaps, but still fine -

I do hate Canon inkjet; all they do is use up ink to clean the print head, then that in turn fills up the waste/maintenance cartridge!

Let's be honest !
What do you expect ? The main profit for all inkjet companies (Canon included) is the ink.
Exp: A Canon iPF8400 (or 8300) is roughly 5000 USD.
A full set of 700ml inks is roughly 12 x 300 = 3600 USD.
If I was Canon I would give the printers for freeComment

OK. Let's say we try to let it finish replenishing and suck down the ink, but it doesn't stop? What then, for ex. if it wil suck down the cartridges and will ask for another one???
Then we are talking about a software or NVRAM issue?Comment
