    E020-03d0

Customer often getts this error for the cyan unit.

Strange thing is that PG-10 shows perfect coverage of cyan (it shows perfect all colors).

I did clean the calibration sensors.

    Am I missing smth ?

Ok - called customer to ask this intriguing question.

          He said yes.

He also said that sometimes they have to restart the machine "when the machine goes crazy and there is no cyan output"

After restart it comes back ok.

            Hello,

This is what the doc says:
03D0: No toner is supplied from the toner cartridge to the developer. TCRG motor fails to run. An empty cartridge is being used. The toner supply port of the drum unit is damaged. Broken or disconnected wire in the ATR sensor.

1- Replace the toner cartridge (thetoner feed screw may block during toner supply)
2- Replace the cyan toner supply motor M22.

              Hi Rachid !

This is not the case here. As I said PG-10 looks great.

              And the error happens randomly...

"PG-10 looking great" doesn't mean that the toner/developer ratio equals the reference value. when Toner/Developer ratio is lower than the reference value, the machine continues printing and at the same time it asks for toner supply. If the ratio is still lower, it deduces that the toner bottle is empty or may display the ERROR code E020.

As a first step, i advise you to call your custmer to replace the toner cartridge.

                Rachid.

Replace toner AND drum together. This is the best way to get rid if this problem for good.

This customer is a print shop Rachid. They print 500-1500 heavy coverage prints / day. Trust me if that was the case they would know it in 10 min.

The customer had already replaced the cyan toner (they have a lot of experience with these machines)

When the machine have "no cyan output" issue inspect values in service mode. Also check M22 signal and connectors, cyan Toner feedscrew and
check the concentration of toner inside the developing assembly.

Take a look inside the machine and inspect Developer Drum Drive parts.

Only time I've had this it was the TD sensor = replaced drum.

Had similar error on irc3220 was the calibration sensor shield not being opened fully, only affected cyan though. Previous techs had been replacing drums that would last a few K then bang error.
