hi all i got error code E025-0402 on a iradv c 7065 i have changed black hopper assembly and black dev and hopper driver pcb but still no joy
anyone got any ideas

I have had that happen to me
Re- check your hopper.
The brass bushing might have popped out of place.
Even the modified hopper is flimsy
Re- form the metal outwards to ensure that the bushing stays in place

Canon has been trying to deal with this error for over two years

When the Control Panel is moved it may flex the frame which the Control Panel Arm Baseand Black Hopper Assembly are attached to.
Replace the following parts to stabilize the control panel arm and help minimize the E025-0402:

• FC0-8278-000 Plate, Reinforcement Qty. 1
• FC0-8307-000 Base, Frame Qty. 1
• FC0-8282-000 Cover, Base, Front Qty. 1
• FC0-8283-000 Cover, Base, Rear Qty. 1
• XA9-0774-000 Screw Qty. 1
• XA9-1249-010 Screw Qty. 4

Adding a washer between the gear and bushing as illustrated below, may resolve this issue.

Ok, I am bringing back this old thread. I am getting the same error code with a C9075. The machine was printing fine the other day but early this morning anything black on the copies just got lighter and lighter. I have ran the machine with the back opened up to verify the toner hopper motor and gears are to be turning. I have ran image quality adjustment just to have a test print a number of times. The black image is there but so light that the copier doesn't recognize that the sheet is on the glass for scanning. Black is the only effected color C, Y and M are perfect.

I'm not sure if the list of things I've also tried below will give any usable information but don't work on Canon machines much at all.
Ran TD-AD-K hoping to force it to put toner into black dev assembly but still lighter.
Ran INITSET-K hoping to force machine to examine toner density but still lighter.
Ran SPLY-H-K to prove toner feed screw rotation sensor good condition but still lighter.

Sounds like no toner is being added to the developer from the hopper
Is there enough toner in the dev ?
The dev may not be turning
