CANON IR5570 - Have ERROR E000100-0001 - reset error and I get the same error.

update: broken thermistor cable from fuser to dc controller. replaced it, but still have problem. shorted controller board?

A E-100-001 is a laser code or dc controller problem not one with the fuser.... before you start replacing parts check to make sure the shutter is ok first....SOunds like to me we need to know what the error code really IS....

if it is a e-001 CODE DID YOU RESET IT IN SERVICE MODE!!!!!

yes I did reset from service mode. checking other things you've suggested now.

replaced dc controller - cleared error code. now I have registration problem - performed adjustment, think may be problem with reg. clutch. got one on order. thanks for the help

machine working good:

replaced main fuser cable - very FUN repair.
replaced dc controller

cleared error - had unrelated registration problem

diagnosed bad reg. clutch and worn reg. roller
replaced registration unit

works really good.
