I don't think it comes with sep pad.

Pickup Unit and Stopper
The pickup unit consists of a pickup roller and separation roller. When the print start key is pressed or an document pickup signal is input, the pickup motor (M2) turns in the reverse direction to lower the pickup unit, turning the pickup roller and separation roller to feed the document. The stopper rises in conjunction with the pickup unit.
When the document is picked up, the separation pad and separation plate prevent multiple sheets from being fed together.
When the document is looped at the registration roller, the pickup motor turns in the forward direction to raise the pickup unit, feeding the document with the registration roller. At this time, the separation roller drive shaft driven via the spring one-way clutch stops at the upper limit of the pickup unit and the friction against the document forces the separation roller to rotate with the aid of the one-way clutch.



U need to remove >clean & or replace both Pickup Roller and Separation

The pickup roller axis turns once. This is ensured by the pickup solenoid SL3 which may have a sticking plate issue (the usual storry of dampers) resulting on a multiple rotation of the pickup rollers. So, have a look on the solenoid damper.

The pickup roller is just cycling once. The paper is actually double feeding together (at the same time). Wandering if maybe the top door isn't closing good. (Thus reducing the pressure)

There's definitely a slight gap between pick-up roller assembly & the sep pad if its multi feeding. Add a little pressure with your hand on the adf cover as it feeding. I doubt that's your problem. Have you tried changing the spring under the sep pad. How many copies this machine has?
