[Error Code] Canon IR5000 E240 etc

Picked up a Canon serviced by another company. I was told it's been sitting.

    Symptoms:
    • Light area down center of page (Transfer cleaner drive shaft out of position cleaner stuck in center)
    • All service related counters reset to 0.(Not sure which PWB stores these) Copy Counters are fine ~600K.
    • When copying, machine starts process, paper almost reaches registration assy. After almost a minute machine resets and shows a Jam. E240 declared.
      • Registration pressure roller has flat spot.
      • After reading about this error on other Canons my guess is the Registration clutch is overloaded or shorting the DC controller PWB out?

Anyone ever have a similar issue?

-Reconnect(re-seat) all controller connectors and memory. Copier in your case can have coating of oxide or rust on connectors.
    -Clear dc and main controller.(p-print)
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Solution was to replace the registration assy. I also reconnected the counter pwb. Afterwards all counts incremented accurately and all jamming was resolved.
