No it won't be the scan lamp as this would throw an error code.

When was the last service & drum change?

Most likely you need a new drum unit, the cleaning blade fails & creates a black/dark image on prints & copies
      .

Try doing an internal print, a history print for example if that's the same you can rule out the scanner.

If you have another black drum unit, even a worn out one, try that, it looks like from your sample theres a bad drum earth

First make Initial Checks. With no results start with drum.

Re: CANON GP335 gives me black copies

i wanna say thanx to Canon.Tech for his instructions of how to get in service mode
and later to zoraldinho for the initial settings pdf file.

finally 2day i made some adjustments for density, specifically:

                    According the service manual:
                    Execute the following underCOPIER>FUNCTION>DENS
                    in service mode:
                    1. WHITE-ME
                    2. PD-DENS
                    3. PD-ME
                    4. DZ-DENS
                    5. DZ-ME
                    impressively improved result
                    and then:
                    COPIER>ADJUST>DENS>DENS-ADJ

internal prints were perfect so the problem must be to scanner section ccd or icboard
im not sure if the problem is hardware or software and if it has gone bcause of the settings or is still 'there' bcause of hardware, possibly is still there but anyway it works.
all of u know better than me.... and let me know what u think
