no network printing with Canon imageRunner 2525

    no network printing with Canon imageRunner 2525

    Hello together,

    can someone help me to find a solution for following problem.

    When i tried to print over the network interface the imageRunner 2525 outputs a single beep but I did not get any printed page.

    • iR 2525 was preconfigured with a static ip and was functional in this configuration
    • The iR 2525 was used in a network but only on one workstation use print and scan function (the device is mostly used as copier)
    • Now the workstation had get an update (fresh install) with Windows 7
    • I installed the latest driver and within the setup routine the iR is correctly found in the network. Setup finish without any error.
    • I can configure the settings and properties in the windows device manager, i don't get any error.
    • When i try to print i get NO error message, nothing in Windows, nothing in the printer menu, printer beeps (so there have to be a connection between pc and device) the only thing is that the printer does not generate any page.


    Had somebody an idea or a solution for me?

      Hello,

      There are two things that you have not noticed in your thread: The Win7 version ( 32bits or 64bits) and the driver type UFRII. So, take care to instal the right one.

              This guy has the right solution!

              Most low-end Canon MFP's do not have a PCL printing kit installed. This means the print jobs submittted with a PCL driver will not print. U need to download and install the UFR 2 driver.

              Canon UFR II/ UFRII LT Printer Driver v20.85

              This link leads to the German UFR 2 driver for Windows 7. They are both x86 and x64 these days.
