C2020 Erroe E602-0202

Hello I would like to thank you all in advance I'm working on a canon c2020 that it had this error form the start E602-0202 so I replaced the HDD but to no avail, I try to load the software but it would not load it reads that
It reads ...
[1] execute reserve operation
[2] Cancel reserved operation and start download

Now I selected 1 goes trough some steps reboots with same error E602-0202
on selection of 2 goes trough this steps
Waiting SST connection
Checking USB
Starting USB Task
And it just sits there for ever blank screen I letfth run for 45 min nothing no change zero nada!! any sugestion help will be very much apreciated

what ver of SST are u using ???

ver. 4.72Ek addresses/fixes message issues & bugs with the C2030 SERIES



1-where did u get this HDD
2-is HDD CANON OEM ?

3-u need to FORMAT the HDD First> before attempting Firmware install
4-make sure u have only one ver of SST on laptop

Thank you, The SST Tool is 4.72, HDD is from canon, but still n/w now I find out that by pressing the star key on the sst tool and option 2 {see above}almost simultanesly will load software it goes trough all bells and whissels all the way but on the last boot up I think....? it will boot up on same error e602-0202

BTW when I tryed to format HDD I would get an error shut off/on engine, and I have only one Ver of the SST Tool on my PC..

U know with that error/
e602-0202/ u should try to FORMAT the original HDD - then reload firmware


--go into download mode>hold down 2 & 8 while powering on the printer
open SST--------------------------
To format the HDD in a unit
1. Select the appropriate model in the “Connect” area.
2. Select the “Single” option.
3. Click on the “Start” button to continue.
4- The following will be displayed after clicking on the “Start” button:

5-select "Execute HDD format"
6-After the HDD is formatted, software can then be flashed to the HDD

now u Select START ASSIST MODE

Service Support Tool detects what version of system software is on the imageRUNNER device and then
provides a list of system software available for downloading on the left side of the screen.

Once the software version is selected it downloads entire version ----------

When downloading the firmware is completed, the machine will reboot and install the selected System Software version.

To be able to format the HD, you've to start the machine in "safe mode" by holding "1 and 7" buttons and turning the machine "ON".
After choosing your model in the SSTool list, use "single" and Format your HD first.

Formatting the HDD

You're right.

- Safe Mode (Download Mode A)(By pressing 2+8, turning on the main power.). We use it to start a machine with a default IP address 172.16.1.100. This is necessary when we change the HD or when the system fails to start up normally.- Normal Mode (Download Mode B)
(By pressing 1+7, turning on the main power; then, in the service mode, select COPIER > FUNCTION > SYSTEM > DOWNLOAD.). The machine starts with the default IP address : 172.16.1.100
