Canon c5185 E000003-0001 Fuser error code please help

Hi, I solved my Laser problem yesterday, and this morning my Canon C5185 got the E000003-0001 error which i gather is the fuser. and fusers are expensive. any chance I am wrong or I can reset the error?
Please help.

I would first check your wall voltage outlet

hot>ground=
hot>neutral=
neutral>ground=0v>0.5v max

E003

E003 indicates fixing unit low temperature trouble.



how old is fix unit ??????????????

I replaced the heating element in the fuser (i had one and thought it might solve it) and not after the reset everything works fine! Thanks teckat and this forum
the fuser is still original and the machine has 500,000 copies.

500,000 prints and original fuser in 5185 ??

i cant confirm it, i got it with 250 and added 250 and when i got it the fuser was a bit brownish and deff not new.

may have been replaced before u got it

250,000 seems ok / be careful / do u have access to refurbish fix units

no i dont know of any and why do you ask? can you refurb them? mine might need a new belt. not perfect.

I'll bet your unit has been replaced before
I don't' refurbish them/ If u can find time and parts & obtain knowledge on the fuser unit u might have success/

replacing just the upper belt is not always successful -there are no instructions on just single belt replacement
