    Help Please!- Nethawk Cable

Hi, I have windows XP mode for my windows 7 machine. I have downloaded and installed the windows SST, and when I try installing the nethawk driver so that it will show up in my sst interface list, it will act as though it is going to install even though it says something about not being digitally assigned. right before it completes installing it crashes the windows xp mode

    Does anyone have any suggestions.

Do you have virtual image of windows XP Os on a windows 7 computer?

If so your still using windows 7. Windows 7 does not support the nethawk driver.

U may not have the correct NETHAWK CABLE ?????
READ BELOW-----------------------& READ YOUR SST MANUAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/Manual will show menus to follow---------see page 25>>>>>

            02-16-11

Regarding downloading with the USB-Parallel Adapter (SST only)

Downloading via the parallel port interface (legacy parallel port and USB-Parallel Adapter: FY9-4154-000) is not supported in Windows Vista/Windows 7.

Only the combination of the new USB-Parallel Adapter: FY9-4368-000 and SSTv4.33Ez or later supports the operation in Windows Vista/Windows 7.

To use the adapter with Windows Vista/ Windows 7, installation of the driver is not required since the standard driver built in the Windows OS is used.

the message about the driver not being digitally signed is normal.
It is OK to install. Select the “NetHawk USB-10 Cable” driver and click Next.

what information are u trying to send ?
                what model ?

explain exactly what u are attempting to achieve

ECP reverse mode release/hold acquisition error/

                Only when BITRONIC is used
                Parallel Port Flash

what download mode are u in ??????????

need to confirm in Device Manager that LPT1 is in ECP mode. If it is in ECP mode already you may need to enable ECP in your BIO settings of your laptop and then delete LPT1 in Device Manager and reboot forcing the BIO's to set the mode correctly.

I was trying to send system software to image runner 2200 trying to format a blank hard drive and it would not work, kept giving a write122 error. I am using the sst 4.72 model using windows 7. When I went to device manager the com or lpt ports are not showing. It may be important to know that when I did the boot information that worked, but system software does not.

Attached is my device manager so that you can see the ports are missing.

It is not oem, it is a good hard drive from nationwide board repair. I have used them many times with no problems. I know that it is a good hard drive.

                      2) Can you remind me how to do step 2

                      3) Its a 2200 not a 2200n, but I got the error trying to do the 2200n becuase when i try to do 2200 it gives me an error saying one item was older than the other, so i tried putting it into 2200n...

The a newer version of Service Support Tool cannot be installed on top of another older version or instance of the Service Support Tool.
Only one instance of the Service Support Tool should be present on a given PC/Laptop.

Let's go back to the basics for a second. I did uninstall the windows sst 3.11 version and then installed the 4.72 version.

When I plug in my adapter which is the correct one mentioned earlier, it comes up in interface as shown above. I am assuming this USB-ADP is refering to the network cable.

When I try to format like instructed this is the error I get

I would like to say thank you very much to this forum. With the help of mostly teckat I have been able to get this sst on windows 7 working correctly. The hard drive mentioned earlier ended up being shit, when I used a different one things worked great.

                            Thank you so much

Hi, I'm sorry I think it was the bootrom not the hard drive that was messed up. The Boot Rom had a bright blue bootrom chip they are normally greeen. It never took the information. We then formated the hard drive on a canon ir3300 that had the normal colored green boot room and it worked.
