are you using after market toner and drums? You are at the mercy of their quality and procedures is you are.

Obviously I would start by seeing if the drums needed replacement or not and replace as needed.
Make sure your ITB and transfer rollers are in good shape and clean as needed.

always run autogradation in the morning and before starting long copy or print jobs
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

Toner is original and new, original drum and you roughly 15,000 copies, happens only in yellow

      thanks

original is highly doubtful. This model is 13 years old now. Are the items Canon OEM or not?
you are going to have to do some basic troubleshooting in order to repair the issue.

Have you tried to flash the machine or upgrade the firmware? I would start there. If I remember correctly there are two colour boards on that serries, one board controls two colours. Try to switch the boards and see if the problem follows the board.

If u print such kind of prints, with very much color all the time, your drums can be end of life within 15000k. Especially when using heavy paper and non-oem drums.

I've got a set of C-EXV 8 drums in my car, they are not old...

is issue on glass copies only ?
looks like edge erase is ok-----------
are u using thick paper mode ???
if so >Perform the auto gradation, full, using the THICK PAPER button selected.

make sure to use the customer thick paper with thick paper type high lighted when making the three test prints.

if so >CCD adjust>then full auto gradation

already did these procedures, forgot to inform what happens in most
heavy paper, paper 90g/m2 takes longer to appear (+/- after 30 copies or prints)
                whether copy or print

                thanks, best regards

just remembered this> I never select the HEAVY PAPER SELECTION on this model> for printing/or copying or AUTO GRADATIONS--- Learned my lesson long ago--

Listen to this>> 90G is not HEAVY PAPER-
-Heavy 1 paper is from 28 lb bond to 110 lb index (106 to 209 g/m2).=CAN BE USED IN ALL PAPER FEED LOCATIONS--
-Heavy 2 paper is from 80 lb cover to 140 lb index (210 to 253 g/m2)=CAN ONLY BE USED IN BYPASS(MF)TRAY

FIX--------DO NOT SELECT HEAVY PAPER or do a FULL AUTO GRADATION selecting the HEAVY PAPER SELECTION/ USE THE PLAIN PAPER SELECTION FOR FULL AUTO GRADATION CASSETTES & MF LOCATIONS
                  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

when u have the amount of coverage % shown on that document > especially on 90g heavy paper the volume shown at 15,000 means a big "0" that document is about 75/80% coverage>at that pace your drums especially in this model crap out-
It's the Drum memory that breaks down during a constant run
could also be a DDI-S PCB issue if only from glass and only yellow-------------------

Also Check the four bias tabs on the Drum Unit Cover. The bias tab may be pushed in and stuck. If the tab is stuck in, it will create a poor contact to the bias tab on the drum unit resulting in background on the copies. There is one tab for each drum.

if I use heavy paper, glossy or other type paper, calibrate with heavy1/heavy2
if use normal plain paper calibrate with plain paper
