Canon ir2800 language problems

Hi @ All,

i have an Canon ir2800 Printer with french Language and need to turn it to a german or at least a english version.
Can anybody send me the corresponding Firmware version with the needed SST and a brief description?

First Try------------------------
go in
Additional Function>Common Settings>Language Switch select > On / Off*is default

You can select the language displayed on the touch panel display.
click for better view

The display returns to the Basic Features screen, and the panel language changes.

Thank you for your hint but it didnt worked out for me.
Theres only the french language in this list. :/

Does anybody know how to change that in to german language? Thanks

if the desired language you want is not loaded on the machine then that system firmware would have to be loaded for that language.

Anyone who can send me the needed firmware version with the tool and a brief description?

the files are large and you would need a computer with a parallel port or the Canon USB to parallel cable in order to load it on this machine since it is older. You may want to find a local tech to assist you with this process. You could spend more $$ than it is worth at this point.

You did cycle the power after switching the setting right?

I do have experience with IT Systems so i dont think this would be a problem for me.
I also do have an Parallel to Usb Adapter, its not the original from canon but it could work?!
We are printing with this Adapter atm.

do u have the Canon SST program with the iR2800 Firmware loaded in it ??

if so> u need to connect printer>open SST on laptop>select connect>& register Languages to register them/ I would re-register the entire iR2200/2800/3300 FOLDER


if u don't have have this > call a Canon Authorized service support company > have a tech update the firmware/

or u can acquire from a forum poster ( money no object )

the adapter has to be from Canon. The generic brands will not function properly with the canon SST that Teckat showed the screen shots from
